WIND DETECTION FLAG
The longest wearing flag/sock made. Alert Orange color for high visibility!
Alert Orange™ color provide for immediate attention and excellent visibility. Internationally recognized color crosses all language barriers providing uniform notification to employees and personnel regardless of national origin. For the same reason police, fire departments, and industry use the Orange to warn persons, the colors in our design are immediately visible and instantly recognized. Our copyrighted flowing wave design lends a dynamic look to the flag and increases visibility. The 3 to 1 ratio of length to width and special material used to construct the flag allows the wind to travel along the upper and lower surface animating the wind. For the first time you can actually "see" the wind movement, direction, and speed. It only takes a few seconds to change out your old windsock for this flag system. No hoops or metal brackets to adjust or fit to the flag.

How long will my flag last?

There is no absolute answer to this question. We offer the following as a general guide line to the care of the flag. Even so, if you feel that your wind flag has worn out too soon we will replace it at no cost. It may be that our Storm Tough® wind flag would be best in your area.

Flag Care

Our flags are constructed of knit polyester and are extremely durable. We consider it to be a very long lasting flag, and will last, or, out last other flags flown under similar conditions. If you experience earlier wear, or fraying, it would be due to local climatic conditions in your area that would cause most other materials to exhibit the same wear.

We realize that many of our valued customers are not familiar with the characteristics of flag construction, dyes, and materials used in manufacturing. All dyed flags absorb rays. The color absorption process not only gives us our flag color but aids in the degradation of the dye (fading) from the sun). The flag materials are effected in the same way and are acted upon by the forces of wind and airborne particles driven into the flag. The reinforced "fly end" is also exposed to these factors especially during windy and rainy conditions. So, flags can be expected to wear or fade out in response to geographical conditions, methods of attachments, and placement within the local area of display.

Help prevent premature flag wear. Take the flag down during storms whenever possible. Keep your flag from fraying or tearing by looking at the fly end of the flag for any signs of war. If wear appears, the worn part should be cut off and the flag re-hemmed. A clean flag will last longer. Pollutants in the air will get into the fabric and cause it to degrade. To clean, wash it in a mild detergent, rinse and hang dry.  Keep your flag away from petroleum and chemical products.  Never fold or store a flag when it is wet.  Let it hang dry completely before you put it away.  Wet flags will mildew and ruin the fabric
